Windows Estate Winery in Margaret River strive to create wines of uncompromising quality with a true sense of place, and take great pride in traditionally processing their wines by hand all the way from the vine to the bottle.
On a small 6 hectare patch Chris uses a minimal intervention approach, aiming to showcase the quality of their fruit. Whenever possible he lets the indigenous yeasts go to work, which adds uniqueness and character to the wine. Manually plunged and pressed off by hand using a simple traditional basket press translates what they get from the vineyard into the bottle; in an age-old tradition of letting the terroir and the grapes speak for themselves.
These wines are the culmination of many years of meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard and the uniqueness of its location. Windows Estate has been recognised as the best small cellar door in Margaret River for the last few years by Gourmet Traveller.
